The stress may increase a person's risk of mental illness. Some experiences may even be traumatizing. The system is failing hard, and racism in the “free” market is being blown out of the water. To help you find minority-owned businesses quickly, I offer a few resources. Online databases such as The Nile List and Official Minority Wall Street offer robust directories of Minority-owned small businesses across industries and geographies. And local business groups like the Washington D.C. Economic Partnership and San Francisco’s Office of Economic and Workforce Development maintain lists of Minority-owned businesses in their communities. If you live in the D.C. area, another great resource is Districtly coal, which keeps a directory of retail-specific businesses in D.C. with an emphasis on woman-, Minority and LGBTQ-owned brands.
When we support Minority-owned businesses, we are supporting black communities. I hope you will join me in that effort all year round.
Becoming a minority homeowner is more than just owning a home. It's about laying a foundation for building generational wealth for you and your family. It's also the base for family & financial security. So, that's why it's absolutely worth striving for.
Passing down a home is just one way that minority families can begin to build generational wealth. Without property as a key asset, each generation must find other ways to acquire enough wealth to leave to their children. If you are in the DMV area, and interested in learning how to buy your first home, buying investment properties and just learning more about real-estate please contact my realtor Matthew Dubbaneh. I trust him and he has also helped numerous of people I know personally successfully purchase their first home and investment properties (Including myself). We are not able to know exactly when we will pass away, but when that time comes, if you don’t have a life insurance policy, it can add a lot of burden to your children or other family members. What many people don’t realize is that their family could be held responsible for debts they leave behind. Life insurance is one way to provide financial security for your family and is something to be very proud of.
